MIMARU Tokyo Ikebukuro

It's hard to find a hotel/ apartment that caters to families with kids. That's why we chooses Mimaru for this! Furthermore, the room is spacious and still has room for me and my family to pray (I'm a Muslim traveller). The staff was friendly and helpful too. The laundry facility is also good. Aside from that, Mimaru Tokyo Ikebukuro is just a few mins walk from the limousine bus station, which we really like. This means we don't have to go through the hassle of changing train/bus. We will definitely stay in Mimaru Tokyo Ikebukuro again on our next trip to Tokyo!!

We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for three nights. The apartment was large with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and washer dryer. The staff were very friendly and the place was spotless. We arrived at Ikebukuro station and found it difficult to get our bearings to find the hotel. It is a very large station. Once we found WEST EXIT (cntrl) exit 19, it was an easy 6 minute walk to the hotel. There are many restaurants and convenience stores near the hotel The local supermarket Akafudado was very handy for foods to cook as well as precooked meals.

MIMARU Ikebukuro is a fantastic option for families! It’s an easy 8-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station – just make sure to exit from the west side. Convenience is key here, with a Family Mart just 1 minute away and a 7-Eleven 3 minutes away. A highlight for us was a nearby bento shop called Kitchen Origin. The food was amazing, with delicious takeaway bento boxes starting at around AU$5. Our kids loved it so much that we ate from there almost every day. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment, which was perfect for a family with young children. It came equipped with a washing machine (a huge plus!), a microwave, fridge, and electric stove, so cooking meals in the apartment was easy if you wanted to. The second bathroom even had a bathtub, which was great for the little ones. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. Overall, it was a wonderful and convenient stay!

Very comfortable. We really enjoyed having an eating area and a place to relax and spend time together after busy days exploring Tokyo. Rooms were very clean and bathrooms great. Fabulous rain shower! We had booked a family suite so plenty of space. Washer/dryer was great, though took a long time to dry. Location was good as there was a Family Mart and a lovely bakery just a block away so we could grab breakfast and snacks easily. Plenty of other food options around. It was a 7-8 minute walk to Ikebukuru station. Limousine bus from Haneda stops right outside the station. It was really helpful being close to a major station as it meant we could get around easily on trains/metro. Staff are lovely and friendly, and helped us to send our luggage onto our next hotel. Really glad we chose MIMARU.
